Manually Embed a Video Tag on eBay
You do not need to connect an eBay account. Copy the Video Tag from eCommercePlayer's Publish page into the listing description, then preview the saved draft. If eBay strips the tag, use eBay's native listing-video uploader instead.

Sign in and open your clip's Publish page
From your dashboard, go to Media (for a single clip) or Players (for a playlist), then click Publish on the item you want to embed. No eBay account connection is required for this workflow.
Copy the Video Tag code
On the Publish page, select Video Tag and click Copy. The snippet contains a native HTML5 <video> element, a direct media source URL, and a poster image. It does not use an iframe or script.
Open your eBay listing for editing
In the Seller Hub or eBay's listing form, open the listing you are selling (or start a new one). Scroll to the Item description section.
Switch to the HTML tab (important)
Click the HTML tab at the top of the description editor. If you paste into the visual editor, eBay can convert the angle brackets to text and the video element will not render.
Paste the Video Tag where you want the video
Paste the code into the HTML editor at the position where the native video element should appear. Keep it near the relevant product details so buyers understand what the clip demonstrates.
Save and preview the listing
Save the draft, then confirm the inline video element still appears and plays. eBay's public policy does not explicitly guarantee externally hosted video tags. If the saved draft strips it, use eBay's native listing-video uploader instead.
Check every clip in the player
For a player with multiple ready clips, the generated snippet contains one stacked video element per clip. Confirm each one appears in the saved draft; otherwise use eBay's native video workflow for the listing.

The retired eBay Assistant is no longer available. Use the manual Video Tag method; it does not require linking an eBay account.
Always use the HTML tab, not the visual editor
If the <video> markup appears as raw text instead of media, return to the HTML tab and paste the Video Tag there. Then save and preview again.
Add a short caption so buyers notice the video
Use a one-line prompt such as "Play the video below to hear this record" or "Watch this item in action" so buyers know what the media demonstrates.
